On occasions, the customer may be prompted to enter a code that is sent to his/her registered mobile. This free of charge service is not only provided with utmost safety and protection, but enables the customer to enjoy easy, online shopping remotely thru the Internet.

3DS is a security system that provides protection from fraud for online transactions when using credit cards or mada cards. This feature works by sending a one-time password to the customer’s registered mobile to complete the purchase.
There are two types of websites: a secure 3DS protection system enabled site, and a non-secure website that is not 3DS protection system enabled. This feature is provided by the merchant.
Purchase transactions(s) by the client on websites is deemed authenticated if verified thru VBV (Verified by VISA) or MasterCard SecureCode protocol. To proceed with the purchase, the customer must enter the OTP sent to his/her registered mobile and the CVV number on the back of the card when purchasing or paying through VBV supported websites who display the Verified by Visa or MasterCard Secure Code logo on their payment page.

No. The bank does not charge any fees to enable online purchases via anb mada Cards.
The maximum daily online purchase limit depends on the purchase limit available under the credit card account. For mada Cards the maximum daily limit is SAR 20K. The customer can increase the online purchases through anb’s electronic channels, provided the limit does not exceed the POS daily purchases limit.
Yes. anb allows enablement of the service at the time a purchase transaction is made only, and disablement of the service after completion of the online shopping transaction thru anb’s electronic channels only.
Yes. anb provides full security for all of its cards when used online
There are plenty of reasons behind the delay in receiving the OTP. In case of delay, we advise the customer to check the data entered and then try again after a short period of time. If the problem persists, the customer should call anb Phone Banking.
The system will automatically cancel the online purchase and will send a text message stating that the operation is rejected. The customer must perform the purchase transaction once again.
We always advise the customer to select the same currency of the merchant’s country he/she is making a purchase from online i.e. the Saudi currency should not be selected at the time of payment because this would result in additional forex charges for currency conversion.
No. The bank does not charge any fees for online shopping service on anb Cards. However, international transactions are subject to currency conversion rates.
